- A sterile mixture of beeswax, paraffin, and isopropyl palmitate, a wax-softening agent
- May be used for the control of bleeding from bone surfaces
- Achieves local hemostasis of bone by acting as a mechanical barrier
- Does not act biochemically and is non-absorbable
- Should not be used where rapid osseous regeneration and fusion are desired
