After Gracey 11/12 Curette is a specialized periodontal instrument designed for deep subgingival debridement on the mesial surfaces of posterior teeth. While it maintains the standard blade width of a traditional Gracey 11/12, the terminal shank is 3mm longer and the entire shank is thinned. These modifications let the clinician access periodontal pockets deeper than 5mm with ease, providing the clearance needed to bypass the crown of the tooth and reach the root surface without causing unnecessary tissue distension. Double-ended, medical-grade stainless steel, corrosion resistant, fully autoclavable. It is chosen over the Mini 11/12 specifically when the pocket is deep but the tissue is not unusually tight.
