Explorer ODU 11/12

Explorer ODU 11/12 is a double-ended diagnostic instrument used to detect subgingival calculus, root surface irregularities, and restoration overhangs by tactile feel rather than direct vision. Each end carries a fine, flexible, curved tip, one shaped after the Gracey 11/12 curette and the other after the Columbia 13/14 curette, so the shank angle and curvature follow the same access pattern clinicians already rely on from those curettes to reach subgingival surfaces without traumatizing soft tissue. Independent in vitro research has found the ODU 11/12 explorer detects subgingival calculus more reliably than a standard periodontal probe.
