Tongue Retractor is a hand instrument used to hold the tongue aside during oral exams and procedures, improving visibility and access to the floor of the mouth and lingual tooth surfaces. The smooth, rounded working end rests against the tongue without causing discomfort, while the handle gives the clinician steady, controlled retraction throughout the procedure. It is used whenever the tongue is obstructing direct view of a treatment area that cannot be adequately accessed with a mirror alone.
